On the 82 it should be a 2 wire connector that feeds power to the seat.

If you dare put your hand under the seat and unplug it, then you can run 12 volts from another battery directly to the seat and be able to power it thru the seat switches. You would run it forward and tilt the base forward to reach the two rearmost bolts, then go all the way back to reach the front ones. Much easier to attack stuff if the seat is out.

Manually, there should be a lever pretty far under the seat that can be moved. It will allow the seat to move forward and back. Get a strong light and look under the seat.

It's working now.. Every effing 8-way function works like it came off the showroom floor. I also got a shock in the process... don't ask.

A LEVER! I've SEEN IT! It looks like it was tampered with. It looks like the lever is short because someone screwed out something off the tip. I just move the lever and pull or push the seat right? I tried that a couple of times, but nothing happened. Myabe I should push harder? Btw, im jelous mongo... ahaahah =0)

Mongo, good work. Its a pain to drive with a fubar seat.

Mtn King, its short because its made that way. It should be spring loaded. It needs to move pretty far for it to disengage the gear
