G'day all, I'm removing my gearbox to have it rebuilt and I can't see how to remove the kickdown cable from the gearbox. It's an 84MY. The workshop manual shows a different setup to mine. Im afraid of breaking the white plastic connector and then I'll need a new cable. Is there anyone who has done this before? Just about on the verge of cutting it anyway.

Martin. I think you have to drop the trans pan to release the cable. Let me look at my manuals and see what I can find.
