Seriously though im really interested in it,its somewhere in this world it has to be,i knew the man that owned this car the first owner and his son i worked with them, believe it or not.
Sorry Doc.
I don't know sidehatch from an alien. I wish you luck on your quest. May the force be with you Kook, I mean Luke.
I think you may have flipped your hatch.
Does anyone know where I can find the Dusenburg that Clark Gable drove? As soon as I get a job, I want to buy it and drive the hell out of it.
Oh thats an easy one, just ask and you shall receive. You need to contact Sam & Emily Mann in Englewood, NJ. They displayed the Clark Gable 1935 Duesy at the Amelia Island Concourse just last year. Quite an impressive car, by any standards, with a top speed of 150 mph! If you read the details on the car, it says that the bare chassis cost $9k & that the custom body could cost twice that, back in '35!
Now ya just gotta get a job!! I'll even waive the finder's fee for a fellow RL'er!!
Mel, thanks for the revisit to memory lane. I saw that car at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, Ca. about 10 years ago. I wonder what 150mph would have felt like in that thing. Probably a little more exciting than in my GTS (almost mundane).
I'm afraid nowadays I would have trouble affording it at the original 1935 price.
