Default Steering wheel spline/wheel fit problem.

Just bought a boss kit to fit a 1982 model 928 (not "S")
When fitted, noticed that there was considerable "wobble"- loose on spline, not loose enough to jump splines, but seriously loose. When the nut is tightened , no problem, no movement.
As I have always thought splines provides a tight fit, even when straight cut, thought I would re-fit original (as in on the car when I bought it)Porsche wheel, which I thought was factory original (leather ,two diagonal bars, makes 4 spokes when centre is covered by pad over hub)
This wheel also has incredibly sloppy fit on splines, once centre nut is removed, wobbles, never going to need a puller to get this off, just hold car upside down, don't even have to shake it!
Is this normal?? no noticeable wear on splines,
Part number on Porshe wheel is 928 347 084.0
Is this the correct part number?

the last number is missing for the ID on the wheel, but the one you have is for a 84 or newer. the splines do seem to have a wobble when fitted without the nut I think that the nut presses the hub onto the shaft and thats when things get tight.
If the splines on your new hub look similar then things should be good to go

Thanks, cranked the nut a bit more, and it seems to drag the wheel into splines that seem to tighten it on(I hope, at least the wobble has gone, )
