Default Price Lowered, 89 5sp $9000

Haven't really been trying hard to sell, but this car has just been sitting in my garage for a couple months except the few drives just to check the battery, etc. Always starts & runs very well. You can see some of the details in my ad in the for sale section above- pm or email with any other questions or photo requests. I really thought the $10,500 I was asking before was a great deal, but who knows- our country seems to be experiencing CHANGE.

Brian

I'll attach some pics to make this a good thread.

EDIT EDIT EDIT

As advised, here is the text from the for sale ad:

89 5sp, White/Navy, 164K miles, Very good condition.

As some here may have seen my previous posts, I got a great deal on this car in almost running condition.

I just got done with: motor mounts (Porsche), oil pan gasket, intake & cam covers refinishing including replacing all WYAIT's (vacuum lines, flappy, knock sensors, throttle switch, hall connector, cam chain tensioner pads, crank sender, fuel lines, cleaned injectors, etc.) I also replaced one if the ignition control units which was causing the initial problem. The car now runs & idles excellent.

The body on this car is very straight & the paint looks excellent after fresh polishing & waxing (Rejex). The only issues on the body are the bumpers- they are straight, but the paint is showing it's age & the front bumper has a couple of fairly deep scratches. Also, the pass. fog lamp lens is broken & the front spoiler is damaged.

I would rate the interior as very good with the only problem being the drivers seat bolster. There is one very small crack between 2 of the defrost vents.
There is an aftermarket stereo & it looks as though at least 2 of the speakers have been replaced. A/C & heat work as they should.

This car has Bilstein/Eibachs and an adjustable front sway bar riding on 17" Cup wheels and handles very well. The brake pads are at about 1/2 and the braking is excellent, though a little noisy.

Timing belt/ water pump were done at 147K & retensioned at 149K.

I have documentation from the previous owners & this car was extremely well maintained with literally tens of thousand of dollars in receipts. The last owner happened to fall in with a mechanic that didn't know 928's (fortunately he only owned the car for a couple years & about 15K miles). This is how I ended up with this car- I wasn't in the market, but was offered the car at a ridiculously low price. This is my 3rd 928 ownership, though unplanned, & to be honest I figured I could make a little money & pass along a nice car at a reasonable price.

I have many more pics & can take any as needed.

Sweet deal for someone. Obama tells me I can only own one 928, so that someone else can own one too, regardless of their employment status or criminal history.......CHANGE is here.

Man, when I bought my 928 2 years ago, I thought I was getting a steal. Now there are people getting unbelievable deals left and right. For what you have into this car now, you might as well hold on to it. Just in labor, (even if you did it all yourself, or especially if you did it all yourself) this is worth the asking price.

Copy the list of all the work you have recently done on this car to this thread. If most people here are like me, they don't always visit the for sale section. This might help someone make up their mind.

BTW the intake looks great. Good luck with sale.

Yeah, I bought a 90GT with 37K miles in 2003 for $19K, kept it for 5 years & sold it for $19.5K with 73K miles- I thought I stole it for what I paid in 03 & the new owner did not haggle at all. This is my 3rd 928 & I will do the unthinkable and MAKE money from the sale.

In fact, I have to sell it now as there is an ad for a complete blower system in the for sale section and I can't step on the forced induction slope right now without causing great spousal turmoil.

I really wish I could afford this. It would complement my current GT perfectly and I could move the parts I replace to this car. Would help if I had the garage space too

Man do I wish your car was located a bit closer. I like my 964 C4, but I really long to get back into a 928. If I didn't already have another car sitting unused many miles away...
