Hi,

Is it possible to swap a 1990 alarm control unit with a 1991 alarm control unit ???
without doing any changes with the wiring etc.

I wan't to be able monitor the module through a sw tool.
From my understanding it's only from year 1991 the alarm module has a serial interface !!!

Yes the '91+ unit is diagnostically connected - however it has totally different wiring, connectors, location and capabilities. So whilst it would be possible to connect it up and have it work - it is very very far from plug & play... its also >$$
