Hello,
I've had a 1980 928 for about a year and a half now and have finally gotten around to work on it. I had a leaky injector problem which I fixed and I had several lights out, which too I got most fixed.
At the end of my tinkering, I noticed that the Brake Press light came on pretty consistently now. I am pretty sure that the previous owner disconnected the sensor since I see a wire leading to nowhere. Could that be it or is there anything else I should try?
Kind regards,
David

The brk Prs light should only be clearable by disconnecting the battery breifly, its not resettable. Its triggered by different switching behaviour of the the brake light switches on the m/cyl - BTDT. If you cant find any fluid leaks anywhere, its usually a failure in one of the switches, or less likely, a wiring issue in the connections to the switches. Replace both switches (24mm?), cheap VW-Audi parts. Do a search for notes by Wally P on this.
