Question a/c line torque

I'm replacing the a/c compressor with new lines this spring and I'm curious what torque the lines should have to the compressor and the condensor/system.

Appreciate the WSM may publish numbers but given the proximity of the lines is it a 'feel' value?

Experienced input much appreciated as always.

There are specs, but as you said it is a "feel" value. As you tighten the line you can feel the seal compress. With clean, lubed threads and seal, tighten firmly.

Thx Paul.......I have ester oil left over from the compressor fill and given the compressor and lines are new they're clean.

Interesting note that the new lines have 'green' o-rings indication of R134-A.

I'm believing I'll have a very very cool car this summer

The green seals are a good indication, but not definite. You'll be fine.

I think that the tightening is just past snug as once you feel the seals crush then you should stop, otherwise you can deform the hose fittings, the seal wont crush any more than what it was designed to do.
Lubricate all of the new Green seals prior to installation.
