Foaming oil really does make sense......I recall street 928's coming off track after a HARD session with very noisy lifters...... back then we thought it was just "hot" oil....its actually hot oil with air in it.....very interesting...

Having the counterweights swing So close to the oil level will allow contact under cornering loads, especially with the later pan..... The early OB pan does have the mesh screen to help with de-aeration and also keeping the oil away from the counterweights.....I also am a firm believer in the 3/8th spacer....that extra 9.5mm really makes a difference....

Of course cooler oil is always better.....but I don't run a cooler on the Estate... I probably should, but with only 200whp it rarely gets over 250F anyway....

Its hard to argue with the results of the 928 Estate.....OB pan + 3/8th spacer and quality race oil + 6000rpm limit.....48 hours on track and counting.....thats 4 years of typical sprint racing seasons.....even more for part time racers.....
