I got caught at work and was required to go into the regions..returned on Thursday...part sent 4-7 day service you should receive it middle of the week they say.
Sorry but late departure was unavoidable I owe you 5 bucks as it was cheaper than quoted.
It does not have any scoring at all on the towers for either bearing so you should be good to go.

Thanks for the update, you can keep the $5 towards the extra gas you will be using the 1st time you press the loud pedal and you release all those supercharged stallions. My car is running just fine without the external rollers at the moment but I can't wait to put them back just in case!

The '90 928GT I'm about to buy has very similar noise as well. If I understood correctly, in your case it was caused by worn nylon tensioner bushings, right? The car had TB job recently, but those weren't replaced apparently.
Is 928.105.613.04 the correct part number for those?

Re-read the thread ant it looks like it actually was the lower idler that caused all the trouble. Guess I should order that.
