Default Help with strange symptom!

Hi all,

My car has been developing a very strange symptom, I hope you can give me some ideas what to do.
It’s almost impossible to drive in low revs, between 1000 and 2000, if I try to maintain it there, whether in first, second, third, whatever, it immediately starts to stumble, shake, like someone is pushing and pulling it forwards and backwards!
I’m sorry for this explanation, but I’m not sure of the correct word!
Apart from that, it always starts fine cold or hot, idles perfectly, there is no hesitation in acceleration (the only way to stop that “shaking” is take my foot of the gas or acelerate above 2000rpm)!
TB and WP less than 8 months and 1000km ago.
Recently new plugs, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, fuel pump filter.
Any ideas please?
Thanks in advance

My 533I was doing something similar. Turned out to be a failed O2 sensor which the ECU didn't like in closed loop.

Hi again,

After writing this post I found this at nichols site:

http://www.nichols.nu/tip384.htm

The symptoms are identical, could the plug wires be the cause?
Before buying a new plug wire set is there any way to confirm that mines are "dead" or, at least, very "sick"?

Thanks again

start the car in a dark garage or at night and look carefully for small sparks jumping off the ignition wires, if you dont see any try spraying a small amount of fine water spray on the wires while the car is running.

Also insoect the disributor rotor for small black lines inside and the distributor rotor for burn and the green wire if you have one that runs from the distributor to the computer under the hot post
