Default Injector advice

Hi all, I am looking for some injector advice. I am going to use new injectors on my 84 euro Mega Squirt conversion. From what I can find for info the 16 valve Euro motor used 24# injectors, but I am not positive, does anyone have a definitive answer on this. I have no reason to deviate from the stock injector output. I have found several eBay injector auctions any where from low $200’s to $300 plus for a set of new 24# Bosch type injectors. Does any one have any recommendations for a source for injectors and has anyone purchased a set from an eBay auction and if so how pleased were you with the injectors?

I plan to make a fuel rail that connects directly to the injectors, getting rid of the piece of rubber tubing and hose type clamps.

Thanks

Sam

Hey,

I can't confirm the flow rate on your injectors, but if they are 24 lb, they're like mine.

Here's a link to the ones I got 6 months ago: Blueovalindustries. They're on sale again for $199/8!!!

Mine were a drop in replacement.

Good luck.

Yeah, No complaints. Several guys on here have used them and recommend them. I think the reason for the low price is because there are probably over a million Mustangs on the roads that can all use the same injectors. Not because they're made of cheap materials.

sam:

make sure your 84 euro uses high impendance 24 lb injectors.
these injectors have a barbed fitting for the 16v rail so fords
wont fit.
you can do some searches.many have modified a s4 rail to
fit ford injectors.
us 84 uses low impendence injectors.dont use these as it will
fry your LH.

I odered the 24# Blue Oval set. $199.00 is a very good price for a set of injectors. Hopefully I will have them for the weekend

Are these the same ones that work in the '87 S4?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new set for mine and I'm quite paranoid. Most of the searches I've pulled up have applications for boostard guys, not stock, so I'm not sure what to get.

I know this is an old thread but do these injectors fit the rubber hoses on a 16v or have clips and I would have to modify my rails?

You will have to swap your rails.

The 24lb Bosch/Fold style injectors are only stock on the '85 and 86 32V engines (early 32Vs). The later S4s had 19ld units and the O rings were different too. The early 32Vs would take the Mustnag injectors with out any change (original O rings) but the S4s have to have larger ones installed.

Vdubr,
You do not have the same impedence injectors as the LH guys. Idon't believe you can use these same injectors.

All the LH cars use the same impedence injectors, but the '84-'86 Euros use a barb and clamp on top of the injector to hold the hose that attaches the fuel rail to the injector. You would need to change your fuel rails to use the Ford/Bosch or the Blue Oval injectors which both use the "O" ring and slide-on clip method to attach the injector to the fuel rail.
