Headlight switch dumb questions
Hey on my '91 S4 that is sold but not yet delivered, I'd like to address the inop light within the headlight switch for the next guy.
~Dumb question #1: The switch is indeed supposed to light up whenever the key is "on", correct?
~DQ # 2: The **** just pulls straight off with a firm grip and yank, right? I just did this on my 993 and that how it went. And there is a tiny little bulb in there that is easily changed when the **** is off?

YES YES & NO
The bulb is actually a little tricky to remove - do not use pliers.
I like to slip some plastic tubing over the end. I find the clear stuff in just too small a size works well - strech the end open wide with needle nose pliers or a philips screwdriver - slip it over the bulb end and wait until it contracts to a snug fit - then pull the bulb out.
its a 900 631132 90 Porsche part - however an Osram 2721 is the same thing and is generally available.
