Clean Injectors or Replace?

My injectors are out of my '87 S4 and I planned to send them out for cleaning and testing. For cleaning at around $18 each plus $20 round trip shipping, I figure around a total of about $170. New Ford C302 19# injectors (set of 8) are available new for under $220 including shipping. Is the extra $50 worth it for new ones? Some folks say that cleaned and serviced ones are better than new ones, so I'm not sure.

I just had an s4 injector fail (body started leaking). I would recommend replacement instead of rebuilding. I used a set of FOTE Ford truck injectors. They are a direct fit with the larger seals available from Roger, and my S4 has a considerably better idle with the disc style injector. I bought rebuilt flow matched FOTE injectors off eBay for around $120, and the seals were around $20 from Roger.

6 of the injectors in my '91 GT were destroyed in the engine fire, so I replaced them all with 19# Ford injectors from Summit Racing. The engine runs fine but the injectors are noisey. They click loudly. For some reason Bosch OEM injectors are quiet. Since the cost difference is many $$$$$, I will put up with the noise.
BTW If you use Techron every 3 months, your injectors will never need cleaning.
