Default Porsche 928 Mat Fastening Kit

I found this on ebay. Is it for real? How does it work?

I was curious about that as well. I have some fasteners on my floor mats, but they look nothing like that.

I wish there was a real factory set like that. But I've never heard of or seen one. Jim B, knower of all things 928?

Those look fussy enough to be factory bits. Just for fun I downloaded the Tequipment pdf from Porsche (https://techinfo.porsche.com/techinf...EQ_KATALOG.pdf)

Sure enough, to go with the factory floor mats (000.043.154.10) there is a set of 'fastening parts' (000.043.202.80) that in the PET drawing look like the ones in the auction. I recently bought a set of black factory mats from Afshin, but they don't have any holes or pins or anything in them. I'll let you know how they work.

Lloyd mats have a different type of fastener which doesn't bolt in, it wraps around the factory carpeting.

Never seen the fasteners in the ebay link.

Those are the same fasteners as on my wife's 968.

My '89 S4 has them - there are rounded-oblong holes in the factory mats (with Porsche lettering on them) that the plastic bit fits through. The tops of the plastic parts rotate 90 degrees to lock down the mat.

The other end fits on the seat rail and is held in place by the front heax-head bolts.
