Can look tonight thru my docs. Workshop manuals and other very valuable supplements are avail on a vs compilation from Roger Tyson at 928srus. Call him. I replied mine without check valves and without return loop... but parts listing PET and wsm are all with CD set. Online also, but usually lacks the majority of the nuggets on the CD set

To answer your question, PET refers to the parts catalog. In addition to having numbers and official names for each of the parts on the car, it has exploded views of them and the assemblies too (every part).
I find it as useful as the WSM (Work Shop Manual) if not more so when working on the car.

I've been trying to navigate the parts list to get the exploded view for the windscreen wiper washer hood tubing---for my '79 928. Only have found later models (84) but think they are quite different.
