I'm just about to get on a plane to head out of country - but would anybody be interested in a meet and greet on April 4th (Saturday). If so, how about some suggestions for a central location? My car won't be up and running by then, but I can still be there!

Cheers,

Ken

30 days advance notice is good for me.

this SLC to Ohio run is killin' me.......

Woodlands Mall has a nice eatery right smack in the middle of the place--we did PCA/LSR concours there last year--but don't know about breakfast?

let us know....?

Sounds good. Woodlands mall is very nice. I pulled the engine last weekend so I will try to have it back in by then. Count me in.

I have put a thread on Pelican about Houston GTG, suggesting as I did here meeting at The Woodlands (April 4--Saturday)

A year or so ago, we held a PCA/LSR concours there, with lunch held at Tommy Bahamas Tropical Cafe. I will inquire with them to see if a GTG is OK with them, when I get back in town. Breakfast is probably a no-go, but lunch should be do-able.

If anyone has other suggestions or ideas, please speak up?

If we can get this put together, one of us should also put an announcement here on R-list------

(I won't be bringing the Euro as it's in a few thousand pieces, and scheduled to go to the paint shop first week of April, but I will show up for the GTG.......)

Wow, just the thought of a Houston GTG is kindof bizarre, but it sounds like fun, and I should be able to make it. If anyone wants to mix a little driving in, I know a fun route between The Woodslands and Cypress via Tomball. Maybe at least the Katy folks would want to head that way afterwards. A stop at my place would be fine too.

Another idea would be to drive down the freeway to the new Rudy's BBQ for lunch on I45 north of 1960, but there are lots of good places around the Mall too. Mike Swaran is in the Woodlands but not on RennList, I'll shoot him an email. I know a few other 928 owners in Houston not on Rennlist that would probably be interested.

Hmmmm, wonder if I'll have new wheels/tires by then....

Sounds great....BTW...How could anyone own and maintain a 928 without using this site or one similar???

Don...its looking more like I may be in the 1960 and 290 area when I move for now....Close to you?

Russ,

My wheels/tires are still functional, just ready to upgrade to 18s since I'm ready for new tires.

Dean,

Not far at all. I'm 3 exits further out 290 (Barker Cypress) and about 4 miles north of 290 near Barker Cypress and Huffmeister.

All,

I hate to throw out this idea since I probably wouldn't be able to make it, but the Porsche/BMW races at TWS are the weekend of 3/14. This is a fun, free event and we've had a few small gatherings of 928s there in the past. I know one 928 owner (non-RennList) planning to be there. That weekend is the start of spring break for many, so some with families, might be headed out of town.

The Woodlands Mall plan sound fine too, just wanted to make everyone aware of another option.

Have we heard from the Katy (west Houston) folks? Stretch? Troy?

Mine are 19's......might give your car a panic attack---

wish I could bring my car, but there's not much to look at.

I heard from Mike Swaran, who lives in the Woodlands. He said that the Woodlands Waterway Art Festival is that weekend and thought parking might be scarce and restaurants busy. Maybe parking in the actual mall parking lot, west side, closest to Market Street(where Bahama's is), then walking over to Bahama's would work.

Bump.... saw a Meteor Metalic 928 this morning, with gold stock rims. Spoke to him at a red light for a few seconds, told him about this possible gathering and Rennlist. Want to make this thread easy for him to find. Name was Orlando.

Well of course now I can't make the 4th - just found out about a cub scouts camping trip. That sucks. Maybe next time
