'84-'86 EuroS dyno charts

So I keep hearing that the 16-valve EuroS '84-'86 with factory specs of 310HP and 295lb.ft are so great, yet for 10 years now I have never seen one on a dyno and have never even seen any dyno charts for a single one of them. Does anyone have one? Please post them.

Got a local dyno place lined up to do mine. 3 pulls for $75 with time to tune in btw.

Now I just need to find some spare money. ;) Dan, do you have a 84-86 EuroS?

dprantl 02-19-2009 06:50 PM

No, I don't have one. If I did, I would have already dyno'ed it ;)

the tuning time you mention is useless without a sharktuner, and only for the twin dizzy models

I don't have a real life dyno chart, but I do have the power and torque plots as per the Driver's Handbook for the '86 Euro S2.

I can scan these tommorrow if they of interest ?

The search function is broken.......Jean-Louis has dyno charts from his 84 EuroS 4.7. With headers IIRC it put down about 270rwhp.

Thanks John, but I have those. I would like to see real-life numbers.

Must have missed that one. Yeah, I did do a comprehensive search and didn't come up with anything. Sometimes with the search feature it is very difficult to hone in on the thing being looked for.

Assuming he posted the chart, it would have been at least 3-4 years ago. This will be his 2nd or 3rd season with the supercharger.

Hi :)

I have several for my S2 (86 - 16 V)

Both with and without Nitrous, but as whenever I post here , I get ripped to pieces, it seems a little pointless posting them...

But the main pre Nitrous one was 306 bhp and 314 ft/lbs Torque (including 7% added on for auto transmission loss)

If you really want to see them I will post them ?

All the best Brett :)

...Or unless you have a ability to adjust cam timing ala Porken's 16V'r. And I have upgrade to allow to Sharktune, just don't have a Sharktuner in my hands... yet. ;)

Isn't there a baseline posted up on Carl's supercharging pages?
All I recall from reference docs are the acceleration curves in the tech spec book. There would be some large assumptions with a mathematical extrapolation. Besides, as I recall some claimed that the '85 Euro S was 330, and not 310 IIRC?

IcemanG17 02-19-2009 11:22 PM

I don't have a chart but I remember a LH Euro that was tested a while back at Devek....260ish HP and slightly less torque (255 or so).... That seems to be common for well running Euros

SMTCapeCod 02-19-2009 11:46 PM

No chart, but maybe Leonard can help if you really want one...

So... seems like 260 - 280rwhp for a well running example. Very nice!
