"Big Reds" installed from factory (similar as 993 twin turbos)"
"1986 S4 Porsche''
"The car is 23 years old and recently has been wanted by collectors"
"fastest production car in it's time, maxing out at 145 miles per hour. I've personally have taken it to 120 with hardly any vibrations (except for my heart pounding)..."

I love Ebay

IDIOTS! OMG! I usually send a nasty-gram to fools like this so at least they then KNOW they are lying to potential buyers!

Look like regular '86 brakes, just painted BIG RED.

Who puts wheel weights on the outside of the spokes? And then is too damn lazy to peel off the old weight's remnants?

I guess he made the engine pic black and white so you couldn't see how dirty it was.

Only sane reason to plop stick-on weights on the outer rim of the wheel is if the brake caliper is so big that it would contact any weights stuck to the inside of the rim.

Have heard the ugly clip on weights require less weights to balance out a wheel.

"hardly any vibrations..."
Maybe if the wheels were balanced right there would be none.

Ah, the rare 1986 S4... If only it were STILL wanted by collectors....

Zip ties holding the top of the air box...one black, one white. Couldn't even make 'em match?

Nice first post Arakronn. I see you've taken to ripping apart these cars like alot of folks here like to do.

Okay, granted the ebay ad isn't put together well. But the car is a Porsche 928. It may be just the right car for just the right buyer at just the right price.

Oh no! Wheel weights on the outside rim lip.... I think I'm going to pass out.

I don't think he was ripping apart the car, I think he was ripping apart the way that clown put his car together and then took pics to show everyone on ebay. That's certainly what I was doing.

Your car is your car and you can do what you want with it, but if you're going to take pics of it and post them for the world to see, you might want to clean it up a bit and make sure it looks presentable. That's all I'm sayin'

Couldn't the seller have spared 5 minutes to take a black sharpie to the white zip tie.
Or white-out to the black zip-tie.

But since it's a 928, shoulda used 4 long stainless hose clamps all torqued down to the same value.

Sad testimony to something. The weights are easily curable, as are the mismatched ties holding the airbox together. This usually points to less than stellar work and repair habits. The DIY maintenance list that comes with this one would be my starting point for things to fix. Everything he's touched needs to be inspected and un-touched I suspect. Meanwhile, another car is on ots way to becoming a legend. Someone unsuspecting will buy it for cheap, look under the edge of the diaper and be surprised at what's lurking there, and then pass it on again as a collectible using the same language that was used on him/her. This stuff is what's holding the market values of our cars so low.
