Default Alternator pivot bolt loose options?

On an 82 the alternator pivot bolt is stripped. It looks like a major feat to place a time-cert in the block due to its recessed length and location. Is there any options to help it hold in place.

I just went through that ordeal, but mine was ripped off and both mounting holes where gone. I ended up relocating mine in place of the AC compressor.
If it is only stripped, you can buy an 8mm thread insert kit. You drill out the old and insert the new threat and that's it....

I had this problem as well I found the correct pivot bolt and then took 2 nuts on the bolt and spun them on a drill and with a grinder rounded off the edges of the nuts , then I made the nuts to fit the hole in the block ( it was chewed up from the improper fitting of the bolt by the PO) then JB welded them into the block, this gives a deeper grip length and so far all is good, just dont over tighten the pivot bolt.
A thread cert was considered but the block hole was already too big to seat it securely
