Re cam fasteners, I believe I have 12 point torx you need. Unless I misssed that step in your post. Number or mm. Mail in 2 days

It isn't a torx. The others that have posted are correct, it is a triple square fastener. They are common on the porsches and vw's.

I hate those aluminum crush washers on the oil lines. They are easy to drop, even if you are super paranoid like me.

The bolt guide idea for drilling out broken fasteners is fantastic, I'll file that one away for future reference!

I (with Randys help) managed to get few more pics:

the water bridge, gaskets, t.stat



the valve cover bolts ready for cleaning and the bolt seals and caps

The top half of the engine front apart for the WP R&R. Of note the timing belt is perfect tension and alignment on the gears........18 mths since the Porkensioner install.
