Tampa 928s

My volt gauge is toast I tried to sub it with my oil/volt assembly from an 82 and the posts are wider on the 85. I was able to remove the volt gauge by removing the face plate.The 82 volt gauge itself is of a different configuration and will not just drop in. I can modify the plastic assembly to make it fit but would the gauge it self work? It looks close same resistor diode and trim pot just laid out differently. Unless someone has one for sale and I can skip this whole process. Any feedback?
