Yeah cassisrot looks like a light metallic pink in most pics ive seen of it. But the pic posted here it actually looks like a nice color. I think that's low lighting though. It sunlight my description would make more sense.

Maybe it looks worse in person. Color in these pics looks more gold than gold-red, but that's camera tricks as much as anything else.

Car isn't too far away, and is actually just around the corner from 928 Int'l. Are S4's really changing hands for less than the price of a used motor at the 928 boneyard? Current bid is at $3750...

Doc, I don't know if I can get over there between now and bid close, but will if the weather breaks for a day. PM the seller's contact info and I'll try to get at least a dust-layer evaluation for you. I'll be 20 mins away sometime this week, just may not happen before the bidding closes. We had a cassisrot '87 down here in Austin for quite some time. I have not seen it or the owner in YEARS. He was not much of a joiner. I saw him at the track once and then maybe two other times around town, I think only one of them was any kind of car event though. I think his first name was Chris...

Update with pics. I got the bumper painted and back on, the rear fender is looking straighterer. 87 hatch mounted, wing ready. I should have the side windows in tomorrow, and get the trim and stuff back on this weekend and be running. I need to sort out the heat and AC, but otherwise job done-ish. The rear bumper and hatch haven't been buffed out yet.
