Wheel Identification Help Please
I acquired a set of wheels a while back, one is bent. I would like to determine if someone can fix it. I have asked a few wheel service firms, including one sponsor here, but so far nobody can identify the wheel.
I like them somewhat, so if I could fix the one I have and/or go to a wider pair for the rear of the car, the set might be worth saving.
I hate to throw out 3 good wheels, but if I can't cost effectively fix or replace the broken one, then I guess they become scrap metal
The only markings I have found on the wheel are:
F-206
94
FIRST
Made in Japan
I think someone referred to them as Cup 2 knockoffs.

Stan,
Are these 2 pc or 3 pc wheels? I don't know whether they can be repaired or not, but I have a contact who does "bent wheel" repair for me. He works in Wilmington DE, but lives in CT (travels back and forth each week). Wally Eriksson is the owner and does the work. He built the equipment and has sold similar equipment to many other shops. The web site is: http://www.vikingwheel.com/index.html
There are pix of several wheels he's repaired on the website, and telephone numbers, e-mail address, etc. in the "Contact" seciont.
I'd suggest sending an e-mail with the attached pix of the wheel to Wally, then calling him to tell him of the e-mail and discuss repair possibilities (also if you can ship/take the wheel to somewhere nearby for him to pick up - he picks up a lot of SAAB wheels in his trecks to New England and back).
You can reference me (from West Chester - does Porsche wheels for me). I have spent several hours with him since I discovered him about 2 years ago.
Good luck. I had a set of these wheels on my street S4. I thought they were the best looking aftermarket wheels for that car. Didn't look quite as good on my GTS, so I sold them to John Hammer.

They are 2 piece wheels.
I will try him next. I have tried two or three vendors, doing so takes time and then they have lost interest, presumably when they can't identify them. I am hoping someone out there can help me identify them.
Thanks.

Stan,
Wally welded a crack in one of the spiders branches on a wheel for me (they were 3 piece 3.6 Turbo aftermarket wheels with the spiders made in Japan). Did a great job. The rest of the work he's done has been straightening bent wheels. He showed me a Chinese made 12" wide chromed Corvette wheel that he is narrowing to 5". The owner wants a spare tire in the back of his Z06 Vette!!
