Default Hi Temp Powder Coat or Jet Hot Coat Exhaust???

Does anyone have experience with hi-temp powder coating on exhaust pipes/x-pipes? The powder coater I use has powders rated to 1200 degrees and before I get them done by him I was wondering if it will hold up compared to Jet Hot coat. He charges something like 75 cents/ft for piping, hi-temp powders may be a little higher.

One friend told me that Jet Hot coat doesn't even hold up well.

Thoughts?

I don't think the 1200F powder coat would hold up well. I've had ceramic coating on headers for several years now and it's been good. The coating is Finishline Coatings. http://www.finishlinecoatings.com/ My sister is involved with that company. One thing I like is that they coat the inside of the pipe too. Other companies use the same ceramic coating material.

Thanks Louis, I thought 1200F would be questionable.

I had my headers ceramic coated on my Audi and 928S. The stuff is wonderful. It's usually $100/manifold.

I used Swain 'White Lightening' for my headers (see avatar) & will use them for my X-pipe as well.
