Yeah well there are the exceptions and a low mileage beauty it was. I think its past history and owners impeccable eye for detail might have helped.

I know I don't need to rephrase it although you got me this time, but you know I was talking GTS's in general and not one so pristine. 73 RS's without matching numbers and in decent shape are commanding 15 to 20 times MSRP. That is an amazing amount of increase. I remember laughing at an offer to sell me a nice 73 RS for $60k Worse a beat up 904 for $12k.

Perhaps there will be "Nostalga Parks" developed with gas available at $30 per gallon and a "road course" that we can travel so that people who bought a muscle car at Barrett-Jackson back in '08 for a million bucks can take it for a little 15 minute spin.

Ahhh progress, how effin depressing.
Charley,

Your starting to sound like my B-in-law. he works for the Department of energy on alternative fuels and tries to convince me that fossil fuels will be depleted within the next 20 years. I have been trying to convince him he is insane, but he is so I get nowhere.

I might be wrong but with the recent deposits of crude located off the coast of Brazil I think we are good for our lifetimes although I agree alternatives will take over long before then and anyone who can afford to collect cars will be able to find a source. The alternative is we steal from each other and watch out for MAd MAx.

They were trying to convince us of this in grade school in the 70's. Conserve gas, conserve water, blaablaaablaa.

Chuck,

Any way of knowing how many Amazon green/cashmere were early 93's? From your site I see there is a second late 93 but an Auto. So for late 93's it is still one of one combo.

That is quite interesting news. Not to be a pain but could you clarify the difference between Cashmere (LG) ( I'm assuming this is my car) vs the others which say cashmere/black leather? Just a guess but I am assuming Cashmere carpet and leather seat surfaces. I guess this would make mine a 1 of 1 regarding interior and tranny color combo. Still not bad being one of 12 AG cars.

I don't know who to thank more you for taking the time to decipher all this info or Rixter for providing it. In either case you guys have done this forum one hell of a service and should probably be offered lifetime membership from IB's for giving the 928 community such a wealth of info that no other Porsche model has to reference.

Perhaps if we consider the black supple with red piping I have a 1 of 1.
