Just sayin
It will allow you to clamp over your A/C clutch wire and check the current draw, check alternator exciting circuits, and anything else these cars need too.

Have to agree with "Firemed" and "Sharkskin".
I have had a clamp meter in my "car electrics" toolbox for a long time; it's a must have tool.
They used to be pretty expensive but I saw one the other day for only £9.99 (say $15).
Slightly off topic, isn't it great how all sorts of tools that used to be prohibitively expensive
and available to professionals or tradesmen only are now widespread and cheap.
Plenty of tools are cheap enough to buy even to do a single job, e.g. A local blacksmith
wanted £200 to cut out and weld in two square bar sections of my driveway gate that
had been damaged by a car. I bought an cheap angle grinder with discs for £9 and a
good MIG welder for £140 and did it myself.
The MIG is a fantastic tool, not too hard to master, and I have used it to repair my old Triumph
Dolomite Sprint, my daughters 1950 Beetle, my other daughters horse trailer and so on.
