The guy I sold my Opel GT to told me about this place (He's gonna need it!):

I don't need it for mine now, but probably some day. Some here surely would if it was good quality stuff. Any experience with them?

Rob @ http://the928leathershop.com/ did my interior including the dash. Nothing but good things to say.
Paul's work is equally impressive http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/928.html

Your opinion is correct ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
.. unless you are going for a restoration (note the topic title, Dash Restoration), in which case vinyl is often the material needed.
So Rixter, was your answer referring to leather too, or are there vinyl restoration options around here somewhere too?

IIRC Rob offers his in vinyl as well
this looks like leather but is actually vinyl![thumbsup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigok.gif)
I would drop him a line and discuss your options, he may offer the unstitched original vinyl look
pics aren't great but I could get you some better ones as I'm installing it over the winter (YES FINALLY!)

My dad and I used "Just Dashes" for the restoration of his 76' and 77' GMC motorhomes. We were really pleased with their work, TWICE. They did an exceptional job. We were looking for a factory vinyl finish on the dashboards. They used a vacuum to pull the vinyl to the adhesive to make a flawless finish. Despite some cracks and sun warping in the dash they were able to pull it off perfectly. As for the 77' dashboard some work on our part was required to get the dashboard prep-ed as it was in a bit of bad shape. If you would like me to send some photos of the "Just Dashes" job please advise. As for leather work I am not sure about them.

You might try these guys up in Wash. Someone here sent a dash down under to their sister company before they opened in the States with nice results. I have no experience with them so I can't speak from personal experience. I did e-mail them about doing work for me and they said the dash was no problem, but they don't have a process for the pods yet. This was a couple years ago.
