Default Exhaust Tip help.

Guys I'm looking for a stock looking exhaust tip to replace the ones I put on my car from auto zone when I couldn't find any other dual tip in town. Anyone got any ideas? These pics are the tips that are on it now. Little too Ricey for my taste if you know what I mean.

Carl at 928 Motorsports sells stock ones, polished. Personally, I think a brushed finish would look good with the silver, but maintenance might be tough.

this is what I have. It's made by Hooker Headers. I picked it because it looks pretty much like the stock muffler. It's a 2.5" single slip-fit (you could clamp or weld), about 14" long overall, with dual 2.5" slash tips. You can find them online for about $35.

I tell you what... If you just cut those tips you have on there in the opposite direction they would look FINE! Start at the top of the tips and cut them in the reverse direction so they are getting closer to the car as you proceed down and I think you would have a nice looking set there... Might be worth a shot. Costs nothing but time to do that...

Chris I agree I like those tips. They are a single in and dual out correct?

When I had it installed I had to decide which way to go up or down. Looked worse trust me. It's not only the cut that looks funny it's the size of the openings. Their way to large.

Jason, when I first changed my pipes, I removed everything past the front Euro resonator muffler, split it into twin 2.5 pipes to the tail, and then used two 3.5 foot long miter cut s/s tips with the point at the top.

I still have the entire system as removed from the manifold down pipes. it's not pretty (mandrel bends and all that) but it sounded great. nothing ricer about it.

Your welcome to it, but you'll have to come get, as it's too big to mess with on shipping.

something for you to think about........

Russ can you send me a picture of the system? Also here's a picture of the tip when I first flew out to get the car shipped back to oklahoma. It was a pipe fitted over a rusted out pipe.
