Very interesting stuff.....clearly beyond what I understand, but after reading through many pages on the main webpage it all starts to make sense.....
Using the above calculations based on an S4's 36mm intake valve....we can make some serious power.... up to about 675hp....using a larger 39.5mm intake valve it jumps to over 800hp!!!
I also found the article on Volumetric Efficiency very interesting....

So a stock 5.0L S4 has a VE of about 88.76.....and some of the highly modified 928 engines are much higher....some as high as 132!!!! (louies engine at 15% loss)
