Oil Breather Removal
Do you have to remove the thermostat housing to remove the oil breather housing on an '84? It’s been a couple years since I did the heads, but it seems like I had to remove the thermostat housing to remove the breather--like they intertwined or something. Just trying to make sure I have all the gaskets I’ll need before I start taking it apart… I’m installing one of Carl’s baffle plates.

It is easier if you remove the plenum and throttle body. The coolant bridge would allow you to take it off too but that would make a mess and require some new gaskets. The plenum and TB are easy and can be off in less than an hour.

Bringing back an oldie, I am also trying to install the Carl's baffle. The bolt that is on the driver's side of the car seems to underneath the oil fill canister. I currently have the plenum and TB out of the car.
What is the easiest way to get to that bolt?
TIA,
