The Lexol products are pretty good. They have a cleaner and also a softener/conditioner.

If you clean leather with a damp cloth using leather cleaning soap you will
get some color coming off. When you want to clean leather: 1) vacuum the leather;
2) wipe down leather with a 'tack' cloth; 3) gently clean leather with a damp cloth using
a soap made for leather (gently means no 'scrubbing'); 4) wait 24 hrs for leather to completely
dry from step 3; 5) put car in hot sunlight, apply leather conditioner, wrap seats in Saran Wrap
(if your doing seats) and leave on for a couple of days if you can. 6) remove Saran Wrap and
gently "buff" the leather with a clean dry cloth. Do this at least every 6 months.
Check out www.colorplus.com for more leather care information. I like using their products.

A burgandy towel is definitely bad.

Leatherique works well, the best of anything we've tried. Pay attention to the instructions regarding the rejuvinating oil, the leather wants to be warm-- like hot sunny-afternoon warm, might be hard to find this time of year. That's the problem with cars, you can't take them into the living room in the winter like you can with motorcycles.

I only use Leatherique - tries the rest and now stick with the one that works.
