What i thought was a leaking a/c pump (due to no gas) actually turned out to be blown O' rings at the manifold.
On the high pressure manifold side of the pump the O ring was totally split.
Dont be fooled thinking that you need a new or reco/d pump like I was.
Still not a simple fix but definetely cheaper than forking out for a new pump.
So if your system has lost gas and wont work..keep it in mind.
My aircon guy hooked the guages up and let some gas into the system...hissing at the pump. Leak was thought to be a front seal but that wasnt the prob.
Put car on lift and could see the leak at the manifold. 4 O rings for 5 bucks saved me 800 bucks.
Needless to say i was over the moon.
