ShadowKnight, Big Easy Sharkster and I attended last year. It was a nice show if you like all kinds of Porsches. I drove up last year and got free catered food, hat, shirt and coffee mug.
Porsches in the Park - 2008
Mark your calendars for December 13th!!
You are cordially invited to attend the 4th Annual Porsches in the Park Car Show. Happening at St Armands Circle, in sunny Sarasota Florida. Porsches of all makes and models can enter the show, and will be parked exclusively in the center of St Armands Circle. Arrive early if you want the best spot! We will be parking cars based on the model type, if you have a unique or rare model, let us know in advance. In the past we have overtaken the circle with over 100 Porsches, this has always been a great event. Spectators are welcome, and there is ample of parking in the area. If you need a break from the show, there are many fine restaurants, shops, and coffee shops. Sponsored by Suncoast Motorsports, Porsche owners can enter their car into the center of the circle at no charge. Once entered, owners will get VIP wristbands, this will allow access to the Hospitality Tent.
If you have questions or would like to RSVP your car, contact Margharita Longpre. Or call at 941-923-1700.

I remember you telling me about how much fun you had there last year Brian, sounds like a 1st class event. Usually those put on by P-Dealers are "no expenses spared" sort of affairs. Of course, thats because they are typically targeting those people with the big bucks that are in the market for a new P-Car, not the 13-30 year old variety! Good thing they let us all play too!

The dealer putting this on is the same dealer we bought the '06 from - they were next door at Sebring - (and feeding all of us free beer and steaks) - they have an older shark in the back they are restoring! They are really great people, and treat ALL P car folk great! (they know we need parts too? )
Just sayin....

Sounds like a plan, see you there. I have to find a car wash once I am close, I always arrive to these shows with a filthy car from the drive.

I bought my 928 from a sellar in Sarasota when I bought it a few years ago. I flew in and we went over to Scott Shop where the car was being stored. Curt911 was who I did business with at the time. Not sure if he is still around or not. WIsh I could attend, but it would be a bit of a drive for me. Hope the weather is nice for the event. It was raining for the few hours I spent there. Please post pics after the event.
