19" carrera sport ... Damn fine looking wheels if I do say so myself
bfellows... I got mine in the UK from Design 911 http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt72_4...oy-Wheels-19-/
Mine are the 987 versions 19 X 8.5 (ET55) 235/35 and 19 X 10 (ET42) 275/30 but I think you could probably get the 997 version rears (11.5 inch) with 295's under there with a bit of fettling.....

They are called "Carrera Sport" wheels.
Dont confuse that with "Sport Design" though which is different.
They are a 997 987 wheel. The wheels on my car are from a cayman/boxster with 8.5" fronts and 10" rears. The 997 wheels are the same fronts but 11.5" rears which i deemed to wide for an S4/GT.
I love the rims, they are gorgeous and do me a favor, dont put them on your car, or i'll have to change mine, J/K!
I am supposed to polish the car and fit the front spoiler this weekend and take some new pics, when i do i will post a couple on this thread.
Since Bob asked for tires, tehy are Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 235/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. To all those that just put on cheap tires from timbuktu, do yourselves a favor and buy proper tires. They make a huge difference. The 18" wheels that came on the car had Summitomo tires and they squealed like pics going around very modest bends, these do no such thing and are totally planted! I LOVE MY PIRELLI'S! I had the same tires on the GT and they are phenomenal!
Oddly I had bought these wheels for a Boxster i was going to purchase but that car ended up being too much of a nightmare and ive since decided i will just live with the 928's. But I need a GT, i dont like the S4's no fun not having to use your left foot at all.

Those wheels (with 19" x 8 1/2" fronts & 11" rears) are now available on a site called "wheels & caps .com" (no affiliation) for $649 plus $100 freight. Carrera III's (18" OR 19" for $500) and the Sport design for $600. Other sizes and wheels are available. Quite a deal, given what some other sites are charging! Maybe someone ought to look into doing a "Rennlist Member Group Buy" and see if we can save some $$$$. If so, I'm in!

Thanks all, I had my heart set on 18" RH 'pretend' split rims, but I have to say these are some of the best looking OEM type rims i've seen on a 928! Great looking cars!

No fitting issues at all with mine.
Here's a pic of them on my car.....

The offsets are 55 on the 8.5" front and 42 on the 10" rear
the offsets on the 11.5" rear should be 67ish if not 67 which is all standard 997 987 stuff, which regardless of what anyone else tells you fits the 928 perfectly.

Those wheels are awesome. If I had to choose, the Techarts would be my first choice and these would be number two. It's hard to tell from the pics, are they painted the standard silver or are they a darker grey metallic?

they are painted GT Silver metallic
The Silver Grey that was at one time unique to the Carrera GT, but has since appeared on special edition 996's and 986's and which may now be a standard 997 color.
The lips are polished.
The wheels also have unique center caps which are used only on this wheel.

Ryan those wheels do look great on your '90 S4. I have a '91 $$$$4 that is also black and was looking at them before I noticed your most recent avatar a month ago or so. It's funny that someone else posted these questions today because I was just going to do the same. However, I still have more questions: did you have to use spacer with the 42mm offset in the rear, and if so what size? I presume that if one went the 11 1/2" you would need GTS rear quarters, right? Last, what centers did you get and how much were they? Thanks for your response.

The caps are Porsche, as are the wheels
OH!
One cool unforseen benefit of these wheels is that they fit the S4 and later front hub without having to modify the dust caps. The hub comes out farther then most porsche wheels and the center cap clopes outwards instead of inwards like most every other Porsche cap
So no need to mess with dust caps with these wheels
Try the place in Oregon......

Ok Ryan, WHICH place in Oregon is that? I am not immediately familiar with anyone in Oregon (maybe FTC Groton or something like that?) but then again, I'm an old guy and I have a floppy disc instead of one of those massive hard drive all the kids have! BTW you didn't answer about the spacers.... or not. Thanks
