Last auction went up to $30,100 without meeting the reserve.
That really looks like a nice GTS.
It's being sold by an owner/enthusiast and not a dealer, which is a nice plus for me.
Not too many '95 5-pds out there.

The '87 S4 I just sold was pampered, but if I had the money I woulda painted it to make it super nice.
$20k paint on an S4? NO, but on a rare '95 GTS 5-spd that I was planning on keeping long term, YES.

Porsche paid to repaint a handful of black GTS' due to a problem with the factory paint. They developed "spider cracks" all over the paint, it was very hard to see unless you knew what you were looking for. Due to it's location I am pretty sure this is the one I saw completely torn down for a "factory type" paint job. The estimates I heard then (approx 10 years ago) were $12-15K for the repaint.

I too would prefer a factory paint job to a repaint.
Maybe im wrong, but i am looking at 2 GT's both have been completely repainted. Am i wrong for thinking that the car is worth less with a new paint job or what?
I just look at the 2 1990 model cars ive had and both have excellent paint. Once its cut and bufed and polished it looks amazing. I worry that a job done in a spray booth wont give me the same durability and last nearly as long. I dont want to be on a 5 year paint schedule when the factory stuff if taken car of will last as long as the car.
Please enlighten me......
