Hard starting ( Sometimes what to check?)

After new battery and checking /cleaning all the grounds I thought I fixing this hard starting issue. Seemed before the new battery I either had to crank it three times to start ( always cranked slow) or it would just crank slow on the 1st try and start. This would happen both with the engine cold or hot. After the new battery and cleaning all the ground it fired right up today and in fact I tried it 5 times waiting between 2 to 15 minutes. All 1st time start. Well I backed it out on the driveway which is a little hill and parked it ( The front is now lower then the back due to the hill. After about a hour I go to start it and this time I had to try it 2 times before it would fire up. Its either no gas or no spark. What should I replace.I don't mind spending money on replace parts if I'm going to end up with a more reliable car. In fact having just sold a 2005 Maserati Coupe anything's got to be more reliable then that car even a 160k mile porsche. Thanks for any help

When you turn the key to the "accessory" position, you should hear the fuel pump run for a moment, can you confirm the pump is running?
Could be the Fuel Pump Relay.
Could also be the Fuel Pump Check Valve.

I would also check the TTS and Temp II sensor, WSM 24-17 has the procedure outlined on testing the sensors.
These couple things should only take a few minuets to check and do not require tearing into anything yet, easy checks.

to test for failing/leaking injectors try holding the pedal to the floor from the limited info you have given it sounds like the injectors should be replaced/cleaned and also a new fuel pump check valve and a new fuel filter, usually done when new injectors are fitted.
You can also check the fuel pressure dampers (2) and the fuel pressure regulator(1) pull off the vacuum line and see if fuel comes out then hook up a mity vac and see if they hold vacuum. If they are leaking or they wont hold vacuum then they need to be replaced
