OK Thanks Roger!

That's why I asked - some seemingly good ideas just aren't !!

And I'd rather find out the easy way - like this !

Anyone find a liner from a specific commonly available vehicle that ~fits?

Using the S4 splash shields seems like it should give a good margin for adjustment in this regard.

Dave - I think some '91's have the GTS style rear liners - maybe yours does...

Default wheel liner

Any progress here??

I am preparing to flush the PSD brake fluid and now I know what this thread is about. Mine is disintegrating along the pop rivets along the lower inside portion. Of course there are other cracks . . . @#$$#%#$$
There was another thread asking for suggestions for parts. IIRC they had injection molding shop and were looking for projects -- for profit. I'm trying to find that if anybody is following this. In the meantime . . .
I'm hoping to salvage at least temporarily the liner by gluing/splice a section of alu house siding to re-build the pop rivet section.

Default Just an idea!! Group buying of one liner set..

Since Roger has repored that they are available again!! What about the idea of buying a set with 10 -20 owners (91-95 model year cars) 2 (120-60 bucks each) and use those to refab from by either figuring a new mold or other method of fabricating these. When done with this set we can hold a lottery to have them go to one of the participants

This really needs a solution; I am up for Herman's suggestion, if we can get it made with something that will last. I could not find the thread I mentioned earlier. I searched under a couple terms. Anybody remember it?

I suggested this in post #5 of this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...er-liners.html

but no one really picked it up.

I rembered dprantl's suggestion back near the beginning of this thread. No positive movement so Iwas forced to buy the "found" fender liners through my paint shop.

Okay, I just bought a set of the rear fender liners for my 91 S4 that is in the body shop for new GTS fenders and full repaint. I will make them available, for a short period of time, to anyone reputable, to make a mold from them. As long as, they don't mess them up. What I want in exchange is a free set of the of the new replacements and a round of beers at OCIC if I make it. Sound good?

Whatever happened to that guy from CPR who has made all those things for the 944?

Well I did a re-line of both of my rear fenders. Removed the POS Porsche liner and power washed the wheel wells. Next, I applied a layer of Dynamat Extreame over the flat center section, sort of like a upside down "U". Then I sprayed the entire area with a full can of Wheel Well undercoating/sound deadener from your favorite auto parts store. Then installed the front and rear sections from Roger.

My DB meter readings were not as good as the original, BUT when I first did the readings the tires were brand new, now the rears are about worn out. I will measure again with new tires and report back.
