The starter relay is another 141951253B at a different location on the CE.

On most models the difference is just in the wiring - with a wire bridge fitted in place of the neutral safety switch. There are other changes between a 5 speed & Auto in the same area - notably the gear indicator feedack and reverse switch feeding the reverse relay on CE for an Auto Vs. the heavy duty switch in the manual trans. That then requires the MT to have a brass 30/87 bridge on CE in place of the reverse relay since the switch is direct drive at the back.
Dave its probably this one you are thinking of... its a very obvious visible difference between the AT/MT CE panels. This bridge is also the 928 615 125 00.
This same bridge was only used in place of the starter disable relay (AT only) in 77-81 year cars - here the starter was driven directly by the ignition switch through this relay (provide neutral/park safety) - while the MT cars had the bridge instead. This was not really a starter relay at all.
All later years had the same relay config for MT or AT. All the relays for the starter disable or starter were std. 53 types. These later cars (82+) bypassed the switch instead.
