Default Cracked tach needle

Whilst polishing the clear lense on the instrument cluster a rag caught the tach needle and bent/cracked it. Does the needle pull off the shaft? Can it be replaced? I have at least one spare cluster though it has some other issues.
The instrument cluster is from an early 1978.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
David

I would think the needles would be similar, if you take a piece of cardboard and a fork you can lever the old needle off put the cardboard under the fork so you dont scratch the face

While your at it mix up some florescent red paint with some bright red and then paint the needles and hi marks

That's was I was thinking. I would think that the needle is a press fit onto the shaft, but thought it good to ask before I break something..........again. The WYITs for a leather dash swap can be overwhelming. LED lighting, soundproofing, grounding, cleaning, HVAC control, carpet, and on and on. I know that as soon as I get it all buttoned up another WYIT will rear it's ugly head. I think I'll start another thread and fish for the ones that I may be missing
Thanks for the reply!

Update: The tach needle does NOT pull off the shaft..........easily. It may very well come off but I stopped before I tore the guts completely out of the tach. It seemed like plausible fix.

On an 86.5 at least it does come off with the method Mrmerlin describes. If you have a spare cluster try it on that- you'll see it works.
