Thanks, Roger & Doc
Had a couple of hours today, managed to remove the tension idler & rescue it from the nail bar then fit the timing belt & etc..
Timing on DS is spot on (1/2 degree adv), need to adjust PS a bit and spin it around for the final settings.
Included a pic on filling the tensioner, as this was simpler than what I read- just the tube gravity fed from squeeze bottle, then remove the bottle and give it a light pressure boost from a mity-vac. Took about 1 1/3 tube full (+- a yard of beer?)
YMMV

Nice job Donald, I am sure Doc was more help than I could ever be.
Looking forward to showing you a "clean set of heals" at third coast.

Donald from your picture i would suggest that you test fit the center timing cover as the way you positioned the clamp for the tensioner boot oks like it will hit, suggest that the clamp be positioned so the screw is at the top , always test fit the cover and check,
If you were using the clamped clamp, suggested position is at about 11 O clock looking at the boot and clamp from the opened end where the tensioner plugs in.
This will clear the cover and allow the clamp to be either loosened or tightened

I still can't believe that Porsche used a timing belt. My BMW uses a timing chain. Using a belt scares the crap out of me and I don't even own a 32V interference motor
