Default caliper arrows

What do the arrows on the brake calipers represent?.............fwd direction of rotors?

Rotation of rotors in the forward direction as you guessed.

I guess that you can't really install them wrong, as long as you make sure the bleeder nipples are pointing upwards.

Inside out, upside down...........I believe I have my answer. Now I have to figure why one side is 10c hotter than the other.

See you Sat H..............in Sultan.

you might want to check the E brake adjustment if your measuring the heat a dragging E brake will get things warm in a hurry

How are they adjusted?................the LR was much easier to install the rotor than the RR.

Just read the WSM on adjustment............seems easy enough, going back in.

update.........I adjusted the ebrake system per the WSM; have it set on the loose side (I never use the brake anyway) for zero drag.

The rear rotors now are at equal temp..........now the fronts are squealing.....always something to do

if the fronts are squealing check the inner bearing seat ( yes this means the calipers and the rotors have to come off)
Usually the inner seat wears on the underside, my guess is that the metal that was used wasnt hard enough. This will cause the hub to move out of plane with the braking area and thus a squeak/squeal.
Dont try to adjust the wheel bearings tighter to make up for this as the bearings will overheat and be destroyed
