Well it was a great day for one of the last great drives of the season.
For the guys that couldn't make it maybe you can grow some for next year.
I hope everyone had a good time, here are some pictures.

Me? Well, uh, I didn't make it because I was hung over!!
Not sixteen, but actin' like it!
Oh, and my belt tension warning went off again today. What's up with that? Got some troubleshooting to do...
John,
Congrats to the entire family on the new addition. If she's lucky, her folks will send her up to you to learn how to drive!

We went to the RSP fall color/sweetest day run.
There were 30 cars total. All Boxsters and various flavors of 911s except for our 928 and one Datsun 260Z. We started in Brighton and ended up on many roads familiar from Sharks in Hell. We even drove past Mark's place, but didn't see him there.
There was a bit of confusion at one point during the first half of the run and lots of cars ended up heading the wrong way. My wife is a fabulous navigator, so even without a working odometer we stayed on course - not counting one brief turn into a parking lot. One of the other cars - a sliver 997 - decided we knew what we were doing and decided to follow us. I walked away from him in some of the twisty parts, but I'm not sure how hard he was trying. Unlike my wife, some copilots aren't happy with tight turns.
The only car to beat us to the halfway stop was a 930 whose driver regularly does all those roads on his Harley and didn't really need a map.
The second half we tagged onto the 993 whose driver had laid out the course and a gorgeous yellow '03 C4S. I was keeping up with them until someone got between us at a traffic light. We almost caught up again several times. It sure was easy to spot that bright yellow from a distance! We finally got back behind the C4S just a few miles from our final destination - the Zukey Lake tavern - where we had a great dinner with a complimentary desert paid for by RSP. I had the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and highly recommend it if you ever get the chance.
There was a lot of interest in our 928. They even asked if we'd be OK with a picture of us and the car on the cover of An issue of the newsletter. I'll let you know if that actually happens.
Here are a couple pictures. The first is before we got started, the 2nd at the halfway stop. I think I have a new favorite Porsche color. The picture doesn't do it justice, but that Midnight Blue 993 is stunning!
