Default New vacuum lines, low idle ?

I recently replaced my vacuum lines with "Samco" blue silicone one,s, a definite improvement was noticed ie the car seems to be much smoother,.... however I have noticed my idle speed has dropped to around the 500rpm mark, any advice as regards adjusting this would be much appreciated,... is it just a case of adjusting the screw (where is it) or is there more to it ?.

Ken,
Good you fixed a vacuum(s) leak. Idle is normal.

If you pull a vacuum hose and induce a air leak, A/F will become lean and idle speed goes up.

Thank,s for the reply,.. it,s just that I thought the idle should be around the 650/700 rpm.

You are right. It should be around 700. There is a large adjustment screw on the front of the throttle body. Turn it counterclockwise to raise idle. Do it when the engine is at operating temperature.

You might want to check the WSM. I believe it is clock-wise to increase. I guess you will know soon enough.
