Since you cannot drive the car, might be a good time to paint the rear rotor hats

I noticed a bit of rust, with these wheels a nice OEM gray or black would finish off the look.

Yeah, I didn't provide a shot from another angle that shows a lot more rotor hat rust. I'd want to paint them with the rotors off the car, though. I don't like the idea of unintended spray paint getting near the calipers and I'm the first to admit I don't have the steadiest hand for spray painting (and typically despite my best masking efforts, there's always a hole). I don't have that kind of spare time these days. Winter project for sure, though (among many others for this car).

Bump for update II ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And re: rotor hats: got some stuff at Walmart, but it's not Hammerite. Couldn't find it there... but my Wal Mart kinda sucks. Anyway, this stuff is supposed to be painted onto rust and it turns the rust into a black primer. Will post an update once I try it out.

i may need a pair of those small spacers for my rear 19x 10 42mm offset wheels that are going on the car tomorrow.
What do the thin ones run? Did you say you had 2 sets and used only 1? Can i buy the other ones off you? I would love to find a 4-7mm spacer, that should be perfect

The ones I bought from Wheel Enhancement were $20 each, + $15 shipping (ouch), and they were sold as 4mm. I didn't measure them before I installed them, but they looked thinner than that.
The one's I have from Kevin are roughly double that thickness, if not more, so call them roughly 1/4". (7-10mm?). They're yours free, as they were free to me... (they're the silver ones pictured).
However... adding a spacer will only reduce your offset more. Add the 4mm spacer = 38mm offset. Not sure that will work on a 928 without rolling the fender... a lot.

yeah using andrews calculator i am comparing the wheels i am looking at the "wheel out" measurement. I want them to be as "out" as the 19 x 11's with 285's were that i had on the GT. I want to fill out the wheel well and i was thinking they may mount a little further in then i would like so i thought a spacer would be good.
But i will fit them tomorrow afternoon and get back with you on that. But please hold it for me for a day. But yes your right i may be good to go as is.
Thanks for the offer.

I put some Roock USA competitions on my Boxster S. They were just barely rubbing the lip of the rim on the shock. A 4mm spacer gave about 1/8" space and they NEVER rubbed from flexing including high G turns autocrossing and fast twisties.

I think a set of these would look really bad aZZ on a 928.

actually i liked your old avatar pic, i thought it was a great shot of the 928, that angle to me really does it for these cars.
Replicate that old shot with the car how it sits currently. I did always like that almost straight on from the side but not quite view.......
