Default Very tight steering. 89 S4 Automatic

The steering feels very tight. It's cool on the freeway but it can be a workout on the streets. I checked the power steering fluid and it's full. Has anyone else had this issue? What else should I look for to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance.

What size rims are on the car ? but the steering effort is higher than most cars until the 1990 > which got a higher pressure system.

Stock 16" wheels and stock size tires.

A 81 911 and 97 993 owner test drove the car and said it was tight as well.

What would they KNOW about a 928 ??? they are very different cars plus the 993 has power assisted steering the 81 911 has none...The 928 automatic cars as you are parking with the engine idling have a fairly high steering effort , 5 speed cars people tend to give more throttle and they seem lighter.
