Why is "no rub strip" a good thing? Is it because it looks cleaner? Won't it be a bad day if someone put a dent in your door in the parking lot?

Love the car. Wifyey will kill me if I drag another one home.

For quite a few, myself included, it gives the car a "cleaner" look.
I have a couple with "rub strip delete" including a '78 Euro and a '87 S4. They don't have door ding damages - of course I make a point to park far away.
