Default Pricing Question?!

Hello all,

I'll keep this short and sweet. What would you fellas consider to be market price for the following car?

1980 928 AT
2 Owner
30K
Sunroof Delete
Rear Wiper Delete
Dark Brown Full Leather
Brown Copper Metallic Special Paint Code 443
(Fresh Repaint by Porsche Body Shop $$$)
17'' Coin Slot Wheels
New Kumho Tires
Service Manuals
Excellent Condition / Needs Nothing As It Sits

This is all I can ascertain right now. I have no decent pictures so tell me what your thoughts are given this information please!

That's a tough call.... shi+ brown cars are not very desireable in the general market place right now. Considering the low mileage, maybe $10k maybe more, maybe less.

The fresh paint is worrysome for a car with only 30k miles in my opinion. Why the re-paint?

Here is the deal with the repaint. The owner is a Porsche Certified body work specialist and he can paint it for the cost of supplies only. I have seen the car prior to the repaint and I didn't feel like it necessarily needed it. He is the second owner and has maintained and put the last 12.5K miles on the vehicle.

Does it have rub strips? If it doesn't it's practically worthless and you won't want it so I'll take it off his hands for very little...because I'm helpful like that
Seriously though, from what I've seen lately you could probably get it for under $10,000 and if it has no wrecks in it's history it would be a heck of a steal...

As it sits, it does have rub strips. However, I suppose the next owner would have the option to ask the current owner to not put them back on post repaint. The car is slated to be repainted at the end of the month!

How is the interior? I'm also wondering what "17'' Coin Slot Wheels" are. Post pics and you'll get great answers.

By the way, are you buying or selling?

4.5 automatic...repaint, none original wheels ..... 30,000 miles is really low but not a very desirable car and brown hurts .... 10 K is probably all the money on a good day, especially in an economy where people are not very optomistic.

Not sure about those wheels. Maybe they are talking about an aftermarket wheel... Porsche never put a slotted 17" wheel on a car...well, they never even BUILT that wheel in 17" as far as I know. It was not uncommon to see the 16" slotted dishes on the early cars and in fact all the way up to '91!
