Moved to 928 where I'm sure you've made many new friends.

I have to laugh at the sniping between the 928 / 944 crowd. I grew up with both, appreciate both, and want both in the driveway. My uncle Bret had a frankencar with a S4 engine and rear end in an 86 body, my grandfather has an S, and my uncle Cody has a GT.

Kris,

You may not have seen any because of the high cost of gas over there, but I can assure you the 928 was MADE FOR GERMANY...PERIOD! That car has autobahn written ALL OVER IT! It is a phenomenal waste of car in this country but can be put to the use it was meant for in Europe and in particular Germany.

I also like the 951... Great looking car but from a looks point of view it can't hold a candle to a GTS! YMMV!

One of Porsche's best designs.

The 928 is garbage. Period. The 924 of Audi heritage, later to become a 924 with widened fenders, known as 944, are the best. A close second would be the 911 of VW fame, known today as almost a 928. The 928 came from nothing and has no beetle heritage to rest its laurels upon. Audi would have choked on its weinershnitzel at the thought of replacing their 924/944 creations with a clean sheet, best in the world newly designed, piece of rubbish 928. So Audi's parts bins were full of the usual, and Stutgartt's beetle remains clearly superior in every way.

For the price of a good GTS you can just about have a 928, a 951 and a 911.

Makes a nice set IMO.

I pretty much like everything that wears the Porsche badge including 924's and Cayennes.

I loved my previous 964 but I thank God (and my wife) everyday that I have a 928GT and a 911GT3 in my garage. Very different cars but both are amazing machines.

Life is good.

So I guess you're saying you like the body style of all 928's built from '87 to '95.

Now there's an earth shattering declaration.

It's me! It's me! Abby that was my apparently poor attempt at sarcasm. Guess it didn't make as much sense as I thought. I was trying the kinder, gentler approach to the Audi/VW owners on here.
Regards my friend,
Kevin

The black example shown above is the even more attractive Euro model, without the large and excessive US side markers.
