Chuck,
Was your CLK63 Black Series the white one at SITM '08? If so, that indeed would be hard to sell.

No, I don't believe the roof liner was EVER full leather, unless special ordered through the Exclusive program.
In 91 and later cars, only seats, door panel inserts, shifter, and steering wheel were standard leather. The leather package that my car has includes A-pillars, headliner trim around sunroof, front and rear visors, upper door panel, door handles and storage lids, hatch trim, inside quarter panel, center storage and rear AC enclosure.
Leather dashes, consoles, and arm rests were not officially available in the US after 1986, AFAIK. The reason I heard through the Porsche grapevine is that they did not have a glue strong enough to prevent the leather from moving as it dries and shrinks in the heat. Apparently, now that there is Helmi Pur (sp?) this is no longer a problem.

Guess I'll keep my old girl, I can't afford to add leather to a new one.

Chuck, I do love that Black! I would LOVE to have one in silver w/ some F1 stickers (I know, most of you would think that is tasteless, but I would LIKE IT! I even have F1 sounds as my ringer on my iPhone!)

And that baby had paddle shifters!!
BTW, my '93 GTS is 'supposed' to be delivered tomorrow afternoon.
Yeah right......I'll hold me breath, it should have been here last week.
Something about the thought of my GTS traveling south bound on I-95 loaded on a car carrier while a tropical storm travels north bound along the same route, troubles me.

David,
Who did you use for your shipping? We used FexEx Passport shipping for Blue82. They did great...a touch slow, but that is normally the case I have found w/ these kinds of things...
Chuck, you bring the car, I'll bring my hand controls! I am DYING to drive a black! I promise I won't be as ummmm antisocial as you were in your driveway awhile back! LOL!
