Chuck,

Was your CLK63 Black Series the white one at SITM '08? If so, that indeed would be hard to sell.

Leather dashes, consoles, and arm rests were not officially available in the US after 1986, AFAIK. The reason I heard through the Porsche grapevine is that they did not have a glue strong enough to prevent the leather from moving as it dries and shrinks in the heat. Apparently, now that there is Helmi Pur (sp?) this is no longer a problem.
the leather treatment soaks into my headliner pretty well, it isn't vinyl, I always assumed everyone had leather on every surface, I am always a bit surprised to see vinyl in interior pictures.

Guess I'll keep my old girl, I can't afford to add leather to a new one.

Yes, that was it. Most powerful automobile I've ever driven in my life. What blast it was on the BRP b/f you guys got on it to head up for dinner.

Chuck, I do love that Black! I would LOVE to have one in silver w/ some F1 stickers (I know, most of you would think that is tasteless, but I would LIKE IT! I even have F1 sounds as my ringer on my iPhone!)

And that baby had paddle shifters!!

BTW, my '93 GTS is 'supposed' to be delivered tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah right......I'll hold me breath, it should have been here last week.

Something about the thought of my GTS traveling south bound on I-95 loaded on a car carrier while a tropical storm travels north bound along the same route, troubles me.

....500 bhp, 0-60 in 4.1 sec, race car suspension and sounds like a 70's hot rod! What a car!

Congrats! Hope all goes well with delivery. I know the excitement well. Post pics!

David,

Who did you use for your shipping? We used FexEx Passport shipping for Blue82. They did great...a touch slow, but that is normally the case I have found w/ these kinds of things...

Chuck, you bring the car, I'll bring my hand controls! I am DYING to drive a black! I promise I won't be as ummmm antisocial as you were in your driveway awhile back! LOL!

I waited an extra week for my GTS to avoid the tornados going up I-44.
